Baki Walk or the Baki Shadow Clone Walk is a trend in which two or more people walk very close together in a single file, matching each other's arm and leg movements exactly, referencing a scene from the anime Baki Hanma season two, episode two, where Retsu sneakily follows a soldier by walking extremely close behind him. The trend was first popularized on TikTok by user @almightydut in September 2023. It experienced a revival in November 2025, set to the song "Habits" by OsamaSon.

In season two, episode two of Baki Hanma, there is a scene where Retsu sneakily follows a guard very closely behind. The scene was uploaded by YouTuber^[1] SlartyMcGuarty on August 15th, 2023, with the title, "LEAST INSANE BAKI SCENE," garnering over 1.7 million views in two years.

The Baki Walk trend was popularized by TikToker @almightydut that September. One of the earliest examples was a POV meme posted by the TikToker^[2] on September 21st, 2023, in which he walks up behind several strangers and follows them closely under the caption, "POV: you just finished watching Baki," garnering over 7.8 million views in two years.

TikToker @almightydut continued to post viral videos doing the Baki Walk over the following months. The most viral example was posted to TikTok^[3] on October 15th, 2023, in which he follows very close behind a stranger for several seconds before leaving without being discovered, garnering over 47.4 million views in two years.

The trend was further popularized in November 2025, although many examples feature friends walking in close proximity to one another, rather than featuring strangers.

On November 16th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @sortcompany.core posted a video doing a version of the walk that gained over 19 million views in a month.

On November 27th, TikTokers^[5] @juliana.adriana posted a video in which they do the same walk, garnering over 10.4 million views in three weeks.
