Baki Invisible Dinner or Baki And Yujiro Last Dinner is a viral clip from the 2023 Baki anime adaptation in which the main character's father is preparing an invisible dinner after beating his son. The scene became an exploitable meme on X, TikTok and Instagram describing situations like "When your friends decide to prepare dinner" and other overlay sarcastic texts. The scene had already been the subject of online discussion when the manga series chapter was released in 2017, but the scene became a prominent meme after a viral tweet posted in September 2023.

Origin

On December 9th, 2017, Chapter 311^[1] of the "Baki – Son Of Ogre" manga titled, "The Father's Taste," was released online. The chapter shows a technique that will show an invisible wall, which is often used by mimics, being utilized by Yuujiro Hanma, Baki's father, to prepare an invisible "Tofu Miso Soup." The main character sides in front of his father to eat the invisible meal (shown below) described in the manga as "Air supper."

The last episode of the anime "Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre 2nd Season," which was released by Netflix on August 24th, 2023, adapted chapter 311 of the manga series. X^[2] user @SavinTheBees posted the clip of the invisible dinner scene (shown below) paired with the caption “There’s food at home,” which garnered over 5.3 million views and 65,600 likes in a day.
