On May 16th, 2024, TikToker^[1] @radaliensrift posted the earliest known meme featuring the clip of B.O.B staring blankly and flitting his eyes to and from the camera. The text on the video read, "Old people went the card reader says 'remove card,'" and the post gathered over 4 million plays and 700,000 likes in a year.

On May 25th, 2024, the Instagram^[2] page @memesforjesus posted a version of the meme, writing, "How I look at bro after he says something borderline blasphemous," gathering over 8,000 likes in a year.

On November 25th, 2024, Tenor^[4] user @car_denied shared an alternate version of the meme that showed B.O.B. with two eyes instead of one.

The meme saw a resurgence in 2025, as seen in a February 17th, 2025, post by X^[5] user @jilroberts that read, "this is my reaction to everything in life recently," gathering over 470,000 likes in a month.
