Brain Fart / Aneurysm Animation or Brain fart ๐ง ๐จ refers to an animated viral video showing a man having a brain aneurysm set to a groaning and farting sound effect. The animation was created by musical artist Sewerslvt and posted to Discord sometime prior to April 2021 when it was reuploaded to YouTube, gaining viral spread over the following year as an exploitable.
Origin
According to a comment posted to Tumblr[1] in October 2021 (shown below), some time prior to April 2021, musician Sewerslvt created a meme using a 3D animated video of a man having a brain aneurysm and combining it with the audio from a video[2] of a man stabbing toilet paper and a farting sound effect at the moment of the aneurysm. According to the comment, the video was reposted to Twitter and went viral.
The video was first posted to YouTube[3] on April 19th, 2021 by Irish Fat Boy, gaining over 3.4 million views in a year (shown below).
Spread
The video was reuploaded to YouTube numerous times throughout 2021, including by YouTuber[4] allen wrench memes on June 21st, gaining over 1.8 million views in 11 months. On August 25th, 2021, YouTuber[5] Icewolf posted an image macro using the meme captioned "me edging my brain aneurysm" fast forwarding and rewinding the video, gaining over 6,900 views in nine months. The video was reposted by YouTuber[6] Funny Original Meme on August 29th, gaining over 578,000 views in the same span of time (shown below). The video is likely a reupload from an unknown source.
On October 19th, YouTuber[7] Maxi Fisch posted a video where placing the video on-screen as many times as possible, gaining over 473,000 views in seven months (shown below, left). On October 26th, a YouTuber[8] posted an animated version of the meme, gaining over 706,000 views in a similar span of time (shown below, right).
On November 2nd, 2011, YouTuber[9] FabledLeviathan posted an edit using the Do You Ever Look At Someone format, gaining over 32,000 views in six months (shown below).
