Origin

The earliest available usage of the image was posted on December 19th, 2015 in an image dump on imgur. ^[1] However,it's unlikely that this is the exact origin of the image.

Spread

Two years later, Redditor ^[2] Dankus--Memeus posted the image with the caption "When Reaper teleports behind you in his Mariachi skin." The post received more than 1,600 points (98% upvoted) and 20 comments in two years (shown below, left).

On July 17th, Redditor^[3] ElFire27 posted the image with the caption "Me when I find the person who hasn't been flushing the toilet." The post received more than 12,000 points ((98% upvoted) and 55 comments in less than two weeks (shown below, center).

On July 19th, 2019, Redditor^[4] Loaf_of_Butter posted the imgae with the caption "When your in the lobby and you find the guy that killed you in Minecraft Hunger Games." The post received more than 15,000 points (97% upvoted) and 55 comments in less than two weeks (shown below, right).
