About
Chimpanzini Bananini refers to an AI-generated Italian Brainrot meme character depicted as a hybrid between a monkey or chimpanzee and a banana. The creature first appeared as part of a TikTok video showing different monkey-fruit hybrids, including coconuts, bananas, pineapples and the like. The meme became popularized on TikTok and YouTube in late March 2025. Chimpanzini Bannanini is sometimes powerscaled against other AI brainrot memes that went viral online in early 2025, such as Bombardiro Crocodilo and Tralalero Tralala.
Origin
On March 13th, 2025, TikToker[1] @alexey_pigeon posted a video showing a succession of chimpanzee-fruit hybrid creatures, starting with the "Chimpanzini Bananini," and followed by "Chimpanzini Cocosini," a monkey-coconut hybrid, and a "Chimpanzini Ananasini," a monkey-pineapple hybrid and so on. The video gathered over 29 million views and 3 million likes in two weeks.

On March 15th, 2025, TikToker[3] @neopetlife posted a video set to the Chimpanzini Bananini sound effect, this time showing a young monkey creature morphed into a banana. The video went on to show other baby monkey fruit hybrids, gathering over 1 million plays and 100,000 likes in two weeks.
