'Cinderella' Cast "Let's Get Loud" Flash Mob refers to a viral video of James Corden, Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter performing "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez in the middle of Los Angeles traffic in promotion of their new film, Cinderella. The video was widely despised by social media users, who found it cringeworthy, leading to parody images and remix videos.

Origin

On August 27th, 2021, the cast of the upcoming Cinderella film, including its stars James Corden, Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter, launched a flash mob in the middle of Los Angeles traffic, singing "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez. Twitter user @_BlueAnt was driving during the flash mob and posted his video to Twitter, where it gained over 18.6 million views (shown below).

On August 28th, 2021, @FilmUpdates^[1] reposted @_BlueAnt's video, gaining over 4,900 retweets, 52,000 likes, and 44,000 quote-tweets, mostly from people commenting on how much they disliked the video. User @PaladinAmber^[2] tweeted, "Imagine having to explain to your boss that you’re going to be late to work because James Corden dressed in a rat suit was thrusting at cars in the middle of traffic?", gaining over 130 retweets and 1,800 likes (shown below, left). User @biggestjoel^[3] wrote, "It’s so rare for everyone on the internet to hate one thing and for that thing to be the worst thing ever made," gaining over 4,800 retweets and 89,000 likes (shown below, right).

Others made parodies based on the video. User @crysisdotbiz^[4] posted a Parasite Driving edit showing the flash mob reflecting off Ki Taek's windshield, gaining over 750 retweets and 4,400 likes (shown below, left). Ricky Berwick posted a video in which he joked about running over the cast with his car, gaining over 272,000 views (shown below, right). It was one of many jokes people made about running over the cast.
