Comedian Amon, also known as "Stand-Up Amon", is a series of vertical comics that feature the main antagonist from The Legend of Korra Amon, portrayed as a stand-up comedian. The comics make use of characters' names and in-universe references as puns for the sake of low-brow humor.

Origin

Spoilers for Avatar: The Legend of Korra

The stills of Amon originate from Book One: Air, episode 3: "The Revelation" of Avatar: The Legend of Korra. In the episode, the protagonists Korra and Mako infiltrate an underground event hosted by the series antagonist, Amon and his group of equalists.The main event of Amon demostrating his ability to remove the bending powers of benders is preceded by a speech by Amon who speaks about his motivations for founding the equalists due to the death of his parents at the hands of a bender and blaming benders for every major conflict.
