Creepy Mullet Girl is an image macro of a portrait from 1989 that feature a young girl with an eerie smile exposing the majority of her teeth, an intense stare and a mullet. After the photo was submitted to a blog in 2008 the photo has received various edits including text relating to the image's scary quality.
Origin
On December 4th, 2008, Sexy People Blog[1] posted a submitted portrait of "Christine" from 1989 (shown below).
Spread
On September 10th, 2011, Redditor jetbean posted the portrait with an added upside down cross on her forehead to r/creepy[2] (shown below, left). The image received over 40 points (72% upvoted) in eight years. Over the next few years, many people shared the image and added text through meme generator. On March 3rd, 2014, imgur[3] user DavidLikesYou uploaded the image adding the text, "Business in the front, Murder in the back" (shown below, right). The image accumulated over 10,300 views and 15 points in five years.
On March 21st, 2015, Twitter user @rowley_eric[4] posted a picture of himself at a bar in Chicago with a person claiming to be the creepy mullet girl (shown below).
