Crying Aya Asagiri refers to a viral panel from Magical Girl Site manga series which depicts that main protagonist Aya Asagiri crying. Online, the panel gained popularity as a part of several meme formats, including Sorry for Having X and Babe Please Have Sex With Me, and has been used in conjunction with Kaneki Profile Picture.

Origin

On October 25th, 2018, chapter 103 of Magical Girl Site (jap. Mahou Shoujo Site) manga series was released.^[1] In the previous chapter, character Mr. Asagiri, the adoptive father of the main protagonist Aya Asagiri, tells her that she is adopted, with a major conflict between Mr. Asagiri, his wife and Aya Asagiri ensuing in chapter 103. In one of the panels, Aya Asagiri is shown crying, her head being thrown slightly back (page shown below, left). On October 27th, 2018, Tumblr^[2] user magia-mangacaps posted the panel, with the post garnering over 4,100 likes and reblogs in two years (shown below, right).

Prior to February 24th, 2020, during the popularity of Sorry for Having X memes, an unknown user posted the first meme based on the image, captioning it "Sorry for having tight juicy pussy it's not my fault." On February 24th, 2020, Twitter^[3] user @hearthrobquest made the earliest discovered repost of the meme (shown below). In the following days, the image was widely circulated online; for example, on February 25th, Instagram^[4] user patiasfantasyworld reposted the macro, gaining over 7,600 likes in one year.

Spread

In late February, the image macro has been edited within the "Sorry For Having X" snowclone. For example, on February 28th, Instagram^[5] user sabermeat posted a version that received over 600 likes in six months (shown below, left). On the same day, Tumblr^[6] user official-mugi posted a meme that gained over 5,100 likes and reblogs in the same period (shown below, right).

Starting in July 2020, the image saw use in conjunction with Kaneki Profile Picture. For example, on July 14th, 2020, Twitter^[7] user @VoidInvictus posted a meme that received over 160 retweets and 1,600 likes in five months (shown below).

Starting in mid-October 2020, the image has been used as a part of Babe Please Have Sex With Me I'm So Horny Wojak Comics. While the original meme within the format is currently unknown, the earliest discovered memes were posted on Facebook^[8] on October 17th, 2020 (example shown below, left). On the same day, Redditor^[9] VeryFirstRedditor posted a viral meme that received over 21,400 upvotes in /r/dankmemes in two months (shown below, right).

Sorry for Having a Fat Cock / Tight Juicy Pussy refers to a series of image macros in which anime characters apologize for the size of their genitalia and other body parts, saying that it's not their fault they have a "fat cock" or "tight juicy pussy." The reaction images gained spread on Instagram, Twitter and other online platforms in late February 2020, with the macros also being used as source material for memes, and later spawned Sorry for X, It's Not My Fault snowclone.

Babe Please Have Sex With Me / Stop Saying Dumbass Things

Babe Please Stop refers to a series of Wojak comics depicting Aya Asagiri begging Yes Chad for sex, with Yes Chad ignoring her. The format gained popularity in October 2020 and has been used similarly to No Way Fag and He Just Nut In Me and Started Playing.

Popular versions of this format include Stop Saying Dumbass Things and Babe Please See a Psychiatrist (examples shown below).
