Cuck Neighbor or Me Trying To Explode His Head is an exploitable image macro meme format based on an X / Twitter post by @Amanseeks reading, "Cuck neighbor: can you turn down the weezer | me trying to explode his head with my incel rage:" over an image of actor J. K. Simmons grimacing as Terence Fletcher in the 2014 film Whiplash. The original meme was posted in February 2023 and saw a resurgence in virality in late April through May 2025, using the phrasal template, "Cuck neighbor: can you turn down the X | Me trying to explode his head with my Y rage," with "X" often being a band and "Y" being an adjective to describe the type of rage.
Origin
On February 9th, 2023, X[1] user @Amanseeks posted an image of J.K. Simmons grimacing as Terence Fletcher in the movie Whiplash under the caption, "cuck neighbor: can you turn down the weezer | me trying to explode his head with my incel rage:" garnering over 1,700 likes in two years. This is the earliest known version of the meme.

Spread
The meme garnered viral spread over the following months, inspiring new variations. On December 27th, 2023, Instagram[2] user gang_deathwatch posted a version of the meme based on a Space Marine from Warhammer 40k, garnering around 270 likes in just over a year.

On April 24th, 2025, X[3] user @hoodheresies07 and Instagram[4] user t1tt1esonmychoppa posted a new version of the meme replacing "Weezer" with "Ken Carson" and "incel" with "Mexican," garnering over 5,100 likes and 41,000 likes respectively in three weeks.

On May 6th, Instagram[5] user gang_beer posted a version of the meme in which the cuck neighbor asks someone to stop getting drunk and throwing empty bottles in their yard, garnering over 12,000 likes in a week.

On May 11th, 2025, X[6] user @winstillionaire posted a version of the meme referencing the video game Overwatch that gained over 5,600 likes in three days.
On May 12th, X[7] user @terriblemel posted a higher quality, RTX On version of the meme, garnering over 2,900 likes in two days.

On May 13th, 2025, Instagram[8] user ghoul_city posted a version of the meme referencing the video game Fallout: New Vegas that garnered over 2,600 likes in a day.
