On December 20th, 2014, Vine^[1] user Drake Bentley uploaded a video where he gives a mock cheesy motivational speech to a fictional team, yelling, "Dammit guys coach is right, if we wanna win it's on us," garnering over 547,000 loops in nine years. The video was reposted to Twitter^[2] on December 23rd and YouTube^[3] at a later date (shown below). The Vine upload may be a reupload.

The video became the subject of recreations on TikTok throughout the early 2020s. For example, on May 14th, 2022, TikToker^[4] @judeflanaganjeetoo posted a video recreating it, garnering over 603,000 views in a year (shown below, left). On March 15th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @the.buschronicles posted a recreation of the video gaining over 7.4 million views in two months (shown below, right).
