About
David Goodenough refers to a recurring character from the French gaming YouTube series Joueur du Grenier based on an X-Perts video game programmer. The character, played by the show's co-creator Sébastien Rassiat, is depicted as a lazy man who passes everything off as "good enough" with a shrug.
Origin
On April 6th, 2016, Joueur du Grenier uploaded a video reviewing the action fighting video game X-perts. During the review, the show's host (played by Frédéric Molas) ironically pointed out the name of one of the game developpers, David Goodenough[1], as a cause for the game's faulty design. The video then cuts to a musical scene where Sebastien Rassiat plays the character David Goodenough, set to the tune of The Andy Griffith show (shown below, english subtitles available). The video gained over four million views and 92,000 likes in three years.

You can tell me that it does not blink?" (shown below, left). David Goodenough became a popular character on the show. On February 14th, ELHUGO uploaded a David Goodenough compilation video which gained over 503,100 views and 8,800 likes in two years (shown below, right).
