Dee's Big Nuts is a parody children's book by author Mark Thunder that uses double entendres only adults should understand to tell the story of a squirrel who has two big nuts, one of which gets busted by a female squirrel. The story was originally published in 2015. Readings of the story started going viral on social media in 2021, as well as memes referencing the story and reactions to it. The title is a play on the conversational joke deez nuts.

Origin

On August 1st, 2015, author Mark Thunder published Dee's Big Nuts on Amazon.[1] The story is presented in a children's book format but is a parody meant for adults that uses sexual double entendres throughout to tell a simple story of a squirrel named Dee who carries around two big nuts in a sack. A female squirrel who likes to put all the squirrels' nuts in her mouth busts one of Dee's nuts while doing this and learns she has to treat nuts with care. On August 11th of that year, YouTuber[6] Funny Girl posted a reading of the digital version of the book, gaining over 113,000 views in six years (shown below).

On May 7th, 2019, YouTuber[2] iTomFoolery posted a video reading the story, gaining over 2.4 million views in two years (shown below).

On August 22nd, 2021, TikToker[3] @tifmjohnson posted a video reading the physical copy of the book, flipping through each page as she does, gaining over 31.3 million views in two months (shown below). The video was reshared by numerous pages across social media in the following months, notably on Instagram[7] page bangerbuddy in September, where it gained over 533,000 views and 33,000 likes in a month.

On September 4th, YouTuber[4] Will AFS posted a The Rock Eyebrow Raise meme in reaction to @tifmjohnson's video, with The Rock raising his eyebrow at every double entendre, gaining over 4.4 million views in a month (shown below). On September 21st, Instagram[5] user vaporman.wave shared a version of this meme, gaining over 24,000 views and 5,900 likes in under a month.

The book, specifically its readings, have also inspired numerous reactions. On September 24th, YouTuber[8] Cooksie posted a video of Virtual YouTuber Projekt Melody reacting to the iTomFoolery reading, gaining over 41,500 views in under a month (shown below).
