"Dit is een Jonko" is a viral video of a young man attempting to smoke a joint at a station in the Netherlands. Filmed by his friends, the clip begins with the dude disclaiming "dit is een jonko," which translates to "this is a joint" in English, but he fails to inhale properly and ends up with a wimpy coughing fit.
The video was originally posted on a popular Dutch site Dumpert in 2008 and soon gained popularity on YouTube. Due to its exploitable nature, people began posting remix editions as well as amateur response videos, imitating the cough scene with joint cigarettes and other unrelated items.
