About

"Doin' Your Mom" is a song by Fatty Spins, a musical group consisting of Ray William Johnson, Micfri, and Breeze. It has since then been used both as an example of cringe and irony, and a source of remix material for music parodies and YTPMVs.

Origin

On July 1, 2009, Ray William Johnson uploaded the "Doin' Your Mom" music video onto YouTube. It was the first and most popular song of his music group Fatty Spins and Ray has used the song as the outro music for his =3 series. The original video, which garnered around 21 million views since it was first uploaded, has since been made unavailable by Ray.[1][2]

The following year, on June 27th, 2010, Fatty Spins reuploaded the video. The post received more than 1 million views in less than 10 years (shown below). Fatty Spins went on to create five more songs before the group was disbanded in January 2010 over monetary and royalty disputes.[3][4]

Spread

On July 3rd, 2009, the original upload of the was included in the video "YouTube W&L: As Seen On 'Doin Your Mom,'" which received more than 15,000 views in a little over 10 years (shown below, left).

Later that month, on July 26th, 2009, YouTuber Ranischen shared a remix of the video, replacing the original music video with stick-figure animations. The post received more than 375,000 views in a little over 10 years (shown below, right).

In 2014, the song and music video gained the attention of the YTPMV community, who then started to use it as a source for their remixes. For example, on October 5, 2014, YouTuber gi97ol First Account shared a "YTPMV – Doin' Your Fire Field." The video received more than 6,400 views in about five years (shown below). As of 2018, many YTPMV videos and music remix parodies have been uploaded to YouTube.

Almost everyone that I have ever seen say something along the lines of "I fucked your mom" past 8th grade usually was either mentally deficient or an absolute faggot that thinks he's the hottest shit on earth and everybody wants to fuck him.

TL:DR, this is the universal catchphrase of self-centered assholes.
