Akatsukito暁 Cat Abuse Controversy refers to an online backlash toward videos of what appeared to be dead cats that were uploaded to the Akatsukito暁 channel YouTube. In August 2019, internet users began calling for the channel to be shut down after videos of cats , with some speculating it was linked with the Peluchin Entertainment channel.

On August 24th, 2019, the YouTuber DestinySpeaks tweeted[1] a clip showing what appears to be a blurred cat's corpse along with a message stating "This YouTuber uploaded videos of him abusing and then killing his cat."
