About
The Olive Garden Waitress Throwing Breadsticks Video Rumor, also known as the Olive Garden Waitress Video or Olive Garden Waitress Meltdown Video, refers to a rumored viral video of a 26-year-old Olive Garden waitress in St. Louis, Missouri, having a public freakout over a "gratuity dispute that got out of control," resulting in her throwing breadsticks and being arrested by the police. The rumor spread on Facebook, Twitter / X and TikTok in early October 2025. However, the claim made by the accounts was not substantiated. Also, the mugshot of a young blonde woman crying used in the viral posts was of a different 23-year-old woman named Megan Ashlee Davis, who was arrested in Brazos County, Texas, for public intoxication in late August 2025.
Origin
On October 1st, 2025, the Facebook[1] page TheDailymemefeed shared an infographic, showing a blonde woman's mugshot with the caption, "St. Louis – a 26-year-old Olive Garden waitress was arrested Saturday evening after what police described as a 'gratuity dispute that got out of control.'"
The post's main caption continued by claiming, "Police say she then grabbed a basket of breadsticks and hurled it at the couple, striking the man in the chest… The incident drew so much attention that a customer in the dining room started a livestream — and within hours, clips of the breadstick-throwing meltdown had racked up millions of views."
Over a week, the post received roughly 1,500 reactions. Its claim was not substantiated and the mugshot of the woman was sourced from an arrest that occurred in Brazos County, Texas.[2]

Spread
On October 6th, 2025, the Facebook[3] page pureviralvideos echoed the claims made in the abovementioned post, using an almost identical infographic with a new watermark for the page posting it. Over two days, the post received over 77,000 reactions.

On October 7th, X[4] user @NetAxisGroup posted a tweet that spread the rumor to the new platform, gaining over 1.1 million views and 6,400 likes in a day. The tweet also received a Community Note [5] that noted that the woman's mugshot was unrelated to the Olive Garden Waitress rumor.
