Overview

The Ana Kasparian Larry Ellison Clip or Ana Kasparian Happy Merchant Clip is a viral video of The Young Turks co-host Ana Kasparian rubbing her hands together and making an evil expression that has been compared to the antisemitic Happy Merchant meme while talking about Oracle CEO Larry Ellison and his support for Israel. The clip comes from a video uploaded by The Young Turks on October 8th, 2025, during which Kasparian and co-host Cenk Uygur discuss texts that Candace Owens leaked involving Charlie Kirk, in which he writes that he lost money from Israeli donors and that the "Jewish donors play into all the stereotypes." The clip of Kasparian went viral on X / Twitter that day and inspired mixed reactions, with some sharing the belief that Kasparian had grown antisemitic. Kasparian responded a day later, writing that she offers no apology for portraying Ellison as a villain.

Background

On October 8th, 2025, The Young Turks YouTube[1] channel uploaded a video titled, "Candace Owens Shares Private Messages From Charlie Kirk," garnering over 496,000 views in two days. In the video, the hosts, Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, discuss text messages leaked by Candace Owens that involve Charlie Kirk. In some of the texts, Kirk claims that he lost $2 million from "Jewish donors" for refusing to disinvite Tucker Carlson from his event AmericaFest.[2] In one text, Kirk writes, "Jewish donors play into all the stereotypes. I cannot and will not be bullied like this."

Uygur disagrees with the idea of using a blanket statement like that, but suggests that there are small pro-Zionist groups that "use the tropes as shields" because they can just accuse people who criticize them of "using their tropes" as antisemitic. Kasparian chimes in and says it's "just the billionaires in America."

Uygur then specifically names Larry Ellison as one of these people, and Kasparian rants about the Ellisons and expresses frustration about being unable to call Ellison and people like him out without being called antisemitic. Uygur talks about how they have Jewish friends and family, and Kasparian says, "They don't care," suggesting they'll get called antisemitic regardless.

At the 13:38 timestamp, she continues to angrily talk about Ellison and transitions into rubbing her hands together, making a sharp, evil-looking facial expression while mocking Ellison.
