BTB Savage Killed refers to the March 2023 murder of rapper BTB Savage, who was shot to death in his home shortly after posting photos of himself standing in the blood of a robber who his girlfriend killed in self-defense at his home two months prior in January. The story inspired reactions across social media, including memes about his opps reacting to the photos.

On March 27th, 2023, YouTuber[1] djvlad posted an interview with rapper BTB Savage (real name Darrell Gentry) in which he talks about how he killed a home intruder in self-defense in January of that year (shown below). In the interview, BTB explains how he made a deal with a group of men who claimed they wanted to collaborate on a song with him. A man entered BTB's home with what looked like studio equipment and started sizing the place up. The man then asked BTB about his chain. He then allegedly pulled a gun on BTB for his chain and threatened to shoot his girlfriend. The two wrestled to the ground, BTB purportedly managing to get the gun out of the assailant's hand.

Some of the intruder's men started shooting through the door. BTB's girlfriend ended up picking a gun up off the ground that was wrestled away from the assailant, she shot through the door and the men shooting through it from the other side ran away, with BTB then purportedly asking his girlfriend to shoot the assailant.

She accidentally shot BTB in the shoulder, then shot the assailant. The assailant kept moving across the ground and BTB was worried he was moving toward his son's room. BTB checked on his son, left his son's room, then the assailant grabbed BTB's foot weakly, asking him to take him to the hospital. BTB refused and the man died. BTB and his girlfriend later explained to a detective, on the scene after returning from the hospital, that it was self-defense. The video gained over 2.1 million views in two months.

This is my first time hearing about this guy, and I don't think he did anything to deserve this, but I gotta say that the way he decided to post a photo of the bloody scene on social media and then boast about it like some sort of ancient Germanic warrior just feels a little messed up.
