No Jumper

Overview

No Jumper is a pop culture and hip-hop oriented podcast hosted by Adam22 on YouTube. No Jumper began as a Tumblr blog in 2011 and shifted to a YouTube podcast in 2015. In the years following, the podcast became notable for featuring interviews with popular up-and-coming rap artists like Juice Wrld, Lil Peep and XXXTentacion, as well as controversial social media figures and sex workers.

History

XXXTentacion Interview

On April 27th, 2016, No Jumper featured rapper XXXTentacion on their podcast, who died in 2018 at age 20. The interview gained over 21 million views in seven years (shown below).[1]

Lil Pump Interviews

On March 30th and April 8th, 2017, No Jumper posted vlogs to YouTube[2][3] featuring rapper Lil Pump, who released his viral single "Gucci Gang" four months later that August. The videos gained over 13 million views and 27 million views respectively, becoming two of No Jumper's most popular episodes of all time.

Boonk Gang Interview

On July 23rd, 2018, No Jumper hosted rapper and influencer Boonk Gang for an interview after his Instagram account was banned for uploading pornographic content. During the interview, Boonk Gang is noticeably intoxicated and has hiccups throughout. At one point, Boonk Gang gets up to take a thumbnail photo with Adam22 and nearly falls over. The video gained over 5 million views in five years (shown below).[4]

Juice Wrld Interviews

Some of No Jumper's most iconic episodes feature rapper Juice Wrld, who died in December 2019 at 21 years old. In September 2018, No Jumper posted two videos with Juice Wrld, garnering over 2.3 million and 4.6 million views respectively in five years (example shown below).[5][6]

Kelpy and Suspect Interview

On November 23rd, 2022, No Jumper featured rapper and pimp Lil Kelpy on the podcast[7] along with rapper Suspect. The interview came after a viral video on the YouTube[8] channel Soft White Underbelly about Kelpy being a pimp. During the interview, Suspect accuses Kelpy of being a poser and appropriating Black culture. Kelpy and Suspect get into a physical fight, which went viral on social media. The video gained over 5.3 million views in three months. The uncensored fight was posted to the No Jumper Twitter[9] page, garnering over 120,000 likes in three months (shown below).

Lil House Phone Transgender Hookup Drama

In January 2023, Adam22 posted an episode of his podcast SledgeLords featuring Gracie Jane, a transgender model and artist, as a guest. During the podcast, Jane suggests to Adam22 and his co-host Danny Mullen that she hooked up with Lil House Phone, the co-host of the No Jumper podcast and a good friend of Adam22. The clips have been edited to remove House Phone's name, however, one instance of his name was left unedited and it was assumed she was talking about House Phone due to the way her mouth moves. At the end of the podcast, Adam22 says he's worried people will think of him as a "bad friend" if he puts out the podcast and doesn't edit out the reveal. Jane accuses House Phone of acting "shady" and acting like he didn't "do some shit he did do."

After the podcast was posted, Adam22 started to receive criticism from some viewers for being a bad friend and exposing House Phone. On January 20th, 2023, Adam22 responded to the accusations in an episode of the podcast. The clip was uploaded to the No Jumper Clips YouTube channel on January 20th, garnering over 173,000 views in two weeks. In the response, Adam22 claims he told his editors to cut the clips rather than just "bleep" the names.

During the podcast, the editor admits to accidentally failing to edit out one of the mentions of House Phone's name. Adam22 shows text message receipts between himself and the editors as proof that he wanted the mentions edited out. Adam also says that House Phone is the last person he'd want to expose, saying he's going through the "mom shit," referring to the death of his mother.

The drama came to a head on January 31st, 2023 when House Phone threw a drink at Adam22 as they argued about it on an episode of the podcast (shown below). The two made up later that day during the same podcast.
