Overview

Diddy, Meek Mill and Usher Gay Sexual Relations Rumor refers to a February 2024 controversy regarding rappers Sean Love Combs (P. Diddy), Robert Rihmeek Williams (Meek Mill) and R&B singer Usher Raymond IV (Usher) purportedly having sexual relations with each other as inferred by a clause on page 73 of Diddy's 2024 lawsuit filed by producer Rodney Jones (Lil Rod). Hip-hop influencer DJ Akademiks highlighted the clause on stream the same day it came out, purporting that the redacted names were referencing Meek Mill and Usher. Background

On February 26th, 2024, hip-hop producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones filed a lawsuit against rapper Sean Love Combs (aka Puff Daddy, P. Diddy or Diddy) that accused him of sexually harassing and threatening him for roughly a year.^[1] The lawsuit also claimed Diddy and several of his associates were involved in illicit behavior and alleged sexual assault against others, including minors.^[1]

Lil Rod's lawsuit involved a 75-page complaint filed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.^[1] On page 73 of the document, it lists two redacted names that referenced one man who "is a Philadelphia native who dated Nicki Minaj" and another man who's an R&B singer who "performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Vegas residency."

On February 27th, DJ Akademiks streamed himself skimming through the 75-page complaint on Rumble. He uploaded a roughly 23-minute-long clip of the stream to YouTube ^[2] on the same day. In it, he highlighted the clause on page 73 with the redacted names, linking the two descriptions to rapper Meek Mill and R&B singer Usher, alleging that it was them being mentioned. Over two days, the video received roughly 238,500 views (shown below).

Online Reactions

On February 27th, 2024, X^[3] user @HollaAtKrazy reposted the clip from Akademiks' stream to the new platform, gaining over 5.6 million views and 22,000 likes in two days. In turn, viral reactions and memes surfaced, playing on the speculation that it was Meek Mill and Usher who were sexually involved with Diddy.

For instance, on February 28th, X^[4] user @Itismourinho posted a video of a man twerking, captioned, "Meek Mill at P Diddy's house," gaining over 46,000 likes in a day (shown below).

Others surfaced photos and images of Meek Mill that they believed added to the evidence of Meek Mill's rumored homosexuality. For instance, on February 27th, 2024, X^[5] user @nocontextdrumar posted a video of Diddy calling Meek Mill "daddy" in his pool, gaining over 8.2 million views and 6,900 likes in two days (shown below).

Memes also surfaced regarding Usher, like one post shared by X^[6] user @Vision4theBlind that included an old clip of Kevin Hart with Diddy and Usher in which Diddy was saying that the two used to "wake up together" and "wrestle." Over one day, the tweet received roughly 2.4 million views and 11,000 likes (shown below).

Similar reactions and memes surfaced elsewhere on social media, such as a video posted by TikToker ^[13] @_davomigo on February 28th that used audio from a Boondocks episode, gaining over 1.1 million plays and 129,500 likes in one day (shown below, left).

Also on February 28th, 2024, TikToker^[14] @mccree.1400 posted a similar video, joking about Meek MIll's music not being playable at parties anymore, gaining over 680,900 plays and 162,200 likes in a day (shown below, right).

On February 28th, 2024, Meek Mill posted to X,^[7] writing, "Akademiks didn’t I tell you stop playing with my name… idk what ima do when I actually see you! It’s gonna have a combination to it tho!" The post received roughly 29.1 million views and 26,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).

The tweet inspired a response from Akademiks in a quote posted to X,^[8] reading, "Wait did you blame me for what a lawsuit said like I just made it up? lol no way," gaining over 12 million views and 52,000 likes in a day (shown below, right).

Andrew Tate And Meek Mill Interaction On Twitter / X

On February 28th, 2024, Andrew Tate posted to X^[9] about the rumor, writing, "So P Diddy was having sex with Meek Mill and Usher?" gaining over 54 million views and 77,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).

The post inspired a response from Meek Mill on X^[10] who referenced Tate's human trafficking arrest, reading, "Was you sex trafficking women? Tf wrong wit you Brody," earning over 37 million views and 161,000 likes in a day (shown below, right).
