Overview

Drake Dog Audio refers to leaked audio purportedly of Drake in which the Canadian rapper can allegedly be heard doing inappropriate things with his dog. The soundbite was sent by an anonymous source to streamer DJ Akademiks in mid-May 2024 amid the ongoing Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar feud, which sparked a viral debate on Twitter / X and TikTok.

Background

On May 12th, 2024, X[1] user @dudeface0890 posted a clip from Jamaican-American streamer DJ Akademiks in which he is watching a video sent by an anonymous source allegedly having to do with rapper Drake doing inappropriate things with his dogs, as slight whimpering dog noises can be heard in the background. The post amassed 162,000 views and 650 likes in a day.


Later on May 13th, YouTuber[2] @MrHopscotchPilgrim uploaded an enhanced sound version of the streamer's clip (seen below), which amassed more than 3,000 views and 50 likes in a few hours.



Online Reactions

The controversial audio of Drake's alleged interaction with the dogs sparked rumors and spread on X a few hours later, sparking a viral debate about the authenticity of the allegations and ironic memes in which people shared their reactions after reading about the rumor.

For example, on May 13th, 2024, X[3] user @Tadbitspecial posted a video of Breaking Bad's Jesse freaking out paired with the caption "Why did I just listen to a supposed audio of Drake raping a dog." The post (shown below) amassed roughly 44,000 views and 170 likes in a few hours.


The rumor was also talked about on Reddit, as Redditor Capable-Education724[4] posted on May 13th saying "DJ Akademiks got sent an incriminating video of Drake during his live stream," detailing the events that occurred during DJ Akademiks's livestream. The post amassed roughly 200 upvotes and 95 comments in a few hours (seen below).

For reference, he never shows the video he was sent, you could only hear it (and it's since been muted on the VOD of the stream). However others were apparently sent this video too and people clipped the audio from his stream, and it's...really not looking good. The general consensus seems to be it's a video of Drake...doing things to a dog. Like, sexual things. Apparently there was some blind item from months ago that implied Drake and his crew were doing as much to minors and animals too (to add gas to the fire). DJ Ak went white as a sheet while he watched whatever was on the video and he's said he's not sure what he's going to do with the video, but seems to be considering sending it to the authorities.
