Gustavo Scat Controversy refers to a pseudonym Twitter page of the Brazilian actor Fernando Mais in which he shares NSFW videos and opinions related to scat pornography (paraphilia involving sexual arousal and pleasure from feces). The Monica's Gang 2019 live-action movie actor, who portrays the character Zecão, was purportedly exposed as the alleged owner of the 18-plus Twitter account on July 2023, leading to a series of critics and memes on social media.

On July 7th, 2023, the Brazilian forum Pan^[1] user @caraderato shared a series of screenshots (seen below) and online dating app profile images of the Brazilian actor Fernando Mais, purportedly exposing him as the owner of an alleged adult content Twitter page focused on scat pornography. The post details how the forum members were able to link the @ScatGustavo^[2] Twitter handle with the actor from the 2019 live-action movie adaptation of the Monica's Gang comic book.

The official Twitter^[3] page of the forum, @forumpandlr, posted the screenshots found by its members (shown below), which garnered over 5.7 million views and 12,500 likes in three days.

Developments

The July 7th, 2023, tweet posted by @forumpandlr went viral in just a few hours, spreading the news across the internet and tabloids. Coincidentally, the actress Camila Brandão, who plays Pipa in Monica's Gang that's Zecão's (Fernando Mais character) girlfriend, posted an Instagram stories video brushing her teeth. @forumpandlr^[4] posted the video that same day (shown below), garnering 909,000 views and 4,300 likes in three days.

On July 8th, 2023, the actor then admitted to being the owner of the Twitter page by posting an ironic video^[5] eating Nutella (since deleted) and a long text explaining his fetish and his feeling after being exposed, saying, "Imagine millions of people having a gigantic repulsion for you? Scary, right? I'm going through this right now," he said via Twitter. The post garnered over 1.3 million views and 1,600 retweets in two days.

Quero Scat Book

In early May 2023, Fernando Mais published the book Quero Scat ^[6] (English: "I Want Scat") — a guide to the sexual practice involving feces, urine and flatulence. With more than 500 pages, the book (cover shown below) presents information and other texts that were inherited from Fernando's old blog of the same name.

The author also mentioned in the book that his first contact with the fetish was through the infamous porn video and shock media 2 Girls 1 Cup, which went viral on the internet during the late 2000s. After the repercussion of the actor's fetish went viral, his book managed to reach the top of the bestseller list on Amazon.^[7]
