Overview

Mizkif Emiru Abuse Allegations refers to a viral controversy that erupted in late October 2025 with Twitch streamer Emiru (real name Emily-Beth Schunk) accusing fellow streamer Mizkif (Matthew Rinaudo) of alleged abuse and harassment when they were dating. Emiru also said that Mizkif blackmailed her by saying that he would accuse her of animal cruelty to her pet rabbits if she went public with her accusations. She cited the October 2025 TwitchCon assault incident as why she was leveling the allegations against her ex-boyfriend.

Mizkif responded to Emiru's accusations by saying that the abuse was mutual and that she would allegedly leave her pet rabbits outside in 100-degree heat, as well as throwing plushies and other objects at him, to which he would respond by punching walls and slamming doors. The controversy prompted notable media coverage and backlash against Mizkif, as well as a number of memes and jokes on sites like Twitter / X and Reddit, with many internet users mocking Mizkif for being complicit in animal abuse and claiming that the abuse was mutual.

Background

On October 25th, 2025, Emiru went live on Twitch[1] and accused her former partner, streamer Mizkif, of long-running sexual and psychological abuse, stalking, harassment and threats of blackmail, which took place during and after the time they dated in previous months and years. She said she’d stayed silent for months out of fear, but after being physically assaulted at TwitchCon earlier that week, she felt compelled to speak. Emiru claimed that while she and Mizkif lived together, her rabbits died, and she believes Mizkif threatened to frame her for animal cruelty if she spoke out.

Redditor u/Aromatic-You-2321 reposted the clip of Emiru speaking about Mizkif and the accusations that same day, gathering over 35,000 upvotes on the subreddit /r/LivestreamFail in two days.[2]

Later on October 25th, 2025, Mizkif responded in a Twitch[3] stream of his own, describing the relationship as "deeply toxic" and admitting to "aggressive behavior" like punching walls and slamming doors, but he denied being the sole perpetrator. He accused Emiru of also being violent, saying she threw plushies and other objects at him. He also alleged that they both exchanged suicidal threats during disputes.

Developments

Clips from Emiru's stream in which she made the allegations against Mizkif continued to be posted to Reddit and Twitter over the following days, as seen in an October 25th, 2025, post on the subreddit /r/LivestreamFail[5] by Redditor CloudyEchos, which was titled, "Emiru Shows the Consistent Harassment She Kept Facing from Mizkif After They Broke Up." The post gathered over 21,000 upvotes in two days.
