Overview

MoistCr1TiKaL Disables Donations, Reveals Earnings refers to YouTuber Penguinz0, also known as Cr1TiKaL, Moist Critikal or Charlie White Jr., removing a large portion of his content monetization by disabling his YouTube memberships, Super Chats and other revenue streams and setting his Twitch donations to a high minimum that most people will not be willing or able to afford in order to deter people from giving him money. Cr1TiKaL made this announcement on October 9th, 2025, via a YouTube video titled "I'm Turning It Off," claiming that he felt bad accepting money via donations, and it was weighing on his mind. In a follow-up video on October 15th, Cr1TiKaL showed his earnings on YouTube, revealing that he had made an estimated $35.8 million since starting his channel, with another roughly $4 million on Twitch from subscriptions and ads. The videos went viral over the following days and inspired reactions, with other content creators like xQc also showing off portions of their earnings.

In the video, he explains that he has disabled YouTube memberships and Super Chats for his livestreams. He says that he tried to do the same for Twitch, but he was unable to, instead opting to turn the minimum for donations up so high that he imagines nobody will spend that kind of money to donate to him. Cr1TiKaL then urges viewers not to sub or donate to him on Twitch and explains that he felt "uneasy" taking donations from viewers, expressing a desire for his content to be free. He also suggests that viewers donate money to a charitable cause rather than to him.

In the video, Cr1TiKaL says he's gotten some backlash from streamers for "setting a precedent" that you should turn off your monetization, and he says he wants streamers and content creators to do whatever they want. He then shows off his lifetime earnings on both YouTube and Twitch. On YouTube, it was revealed that Cr1TiKaL made over an estimated $35.8 million between 2016 and 2025. He reiterates that it doesn't sit right with him to make so much money off the backs of hard-working people who make less, calling streaming the "easiest job." Cr1TiKaL also says he wanted to show how much streamers and content creators make because most people don't know.
