Overview

The Mr. Prada Therapist Murder Theories refers to online speculation that TikToker Mr. Prada murdered his therapist William Nicholas Abraham in September 2024. The rumor was based on the 2024 criminal investigation of the murder of Baton Rouge, Louisiana therapist William Nicholas Abraham (aka W. Nicholas Abraham, Nicholas Abraham, Nick Abraham or Dr. Nick), whose body was found along Highway 51 in nearby Tangipahoa Parish, LA. In a viral news report, CCTV photos of the main "person of interest" were released and many on TikTok and Twitter / X said that the man pictured was Mr. Prada. Many TikTokers reacted to the rumor and made claims that Mr. Prada had been abused by his therapist, drawing a correlation between Nicholas Abraham's 2015 arrest for allegedly molesting one of his 11-year-old patients. Viral videos concerning the subject spread online.

Background

Mr. Prada, also known as MrPrada or MrPrada77, is a 20-year-old TikToker who's been accused of stealing jokes and video concepts from other TikTokers.^[1] He has received criticism in 2022 from those who believe he stole jokes, which subsequently resulted in further backlash when he was unapologetic about it, relayed in his own videos (TikTok^[2] example shown below).

Mr. Prada has had multiple accounts since 2022. As of October 2024, his primary TikTok^[3][4] accounts are @mr.prada458 and @mr.prada456, where he's amassed over 4.2 million followers and 3.9 million followers, respectively.

On September 30th, 2024, local Louisiana news station CBS-4WWL^[5] ran a segment on air about the murder of 69-year-old Baton Rouge therapist William Nicholas Abraham who was found dead on the side of Highway 51 in nearby Tangipahoa Parish, LA, having succumbed to injuries caused by blunt force trauma. The news segment noted that Abraham had a criminal record; he was arrested in 2015 for allegedly molesting one of his 11-year-old patients.

CBS-4WWL^[5] also released photos of the "person of interest" in the investigation who was the last person seen driving Abraham's car. The photos were taken from a CCTV camera (shown below).

Similarly, on September 30th, TikToker^[7] @szapoop posted a video reacting to the rumor that Mr. Prada murdered his therapist, receiving over 769,200 plays and 157,200 likes in less than a day (shown below). Later on September 30th, TikToker^[8] @szapoop reposted the 4WWL news segment when responding to a comment left on their previous video.

Some TikTokers drew a correlation between the 2015 arrest of Abraham and Mr. Prada, speculating that Mr. Prada could have been the victim. For example, on October 1st, TikToker^[9] @natererun posted a video on the subject, receiving over 867,400 plays and 127,500 likes in less than a day (shown below).

Similar reactions and posts surfaced on Twitter / X during the same timeframe. For instance, on October 1st, X^[10] user @ISLANDBARBZZ posted a screenshot of FOX 8 New Orleans' tweet^[11] on the subject, drawing a comparison between the suspect and Mr. Prada. In less than a day, the tweet received over 43,000 likes (shown below).
