Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul Engagement refers YouTubers Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau announcement that they will be getting married after two months of dating. Paul proposed to Mongeau on her 21st birthday while in Las Vegas.

On June 24th, 2019, Tana Mongeau[3] retweeted a fan who wrote "if this is a joke i’m going to be pissed
if this isn’t a joke i’m going to be pissed" and replied, "it’s not. i’m engaged. holy fuck" (shown below). The tweet gained over 1,100 retweets and 31,600 likes in a day.
On June 24th, Tana Mongeau[1] posted a few short videos of her 21st birthday party to her Instagram stories. some of the videos feature Jake Paul carrying a cake that reads "Tana, Will You Marry Me?" and others show off her engagement ring (shown below).
That same day, HollywoodLife posted a video reporting on the engagement to YouTube. The video gathered over 9,800 views in a day. In the video, the reporter reveals that Mongeau may have been wearing the alleged engagement ring a few days prior (shown below).
The Wedding
On July 28th, 2019, Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul both traveled to Las Vegas to get married. Both Paul and Mongeau posted videos to their respective YouTube channels that morning. Mongeau posted audio to her channel about how genuinely excited she was to marry Paul (shown below, left). The video gained over 3.1 million views in a day. Jake Paul's upload featured the clickbait title "we're cancelling the wedding…" (shown below, right). The video promoted a $50 live stream of the wedding.[4] The video garnered over 1.8 million views in a day.
Both YouTubers posted short tweets early in the day about their wedding (shown below). Mongeau's[6] tweet accumulated over 96,600 likes while Paul's[5] gained about 18,900 likes in a day.
On July 29th, in the early hours of the morning, various wedding guests posted short clips of the event to Twitter. Twitter user @adam22 posted a short video of Mongeau arriving in her wedding dress (shown below). The tweet garnered over 3,900 likes in a day.

That morning, Mongeau reported on her Twitter that a fight broke out during the ceremony. Twitter user @JoshPescatore uploaded video footage of the fight which started with someone pouring champagne on Paul and Mongeau during the ceremony (shown below). The clip gained over 2,200 views in a day.

During the wedding Logan Paul was asked if he thought the marriage would last (shown below). The video clip gained over 1,900 likes on Twitter in a day.

Since the YouTubers had only been engaged a month and dating for three months, many Twitter users still question the validity of their marriage. Twitter user @vanity_is_me00[7] tweeted, "Three months ain’t long enough to fully get to know someone. It just seems fishy.." (shown below). The tweet accumulated over 200 likes in a day.
Wedding Aftermath
On July 29th, 2019, after the wedding, those who paid to stream the wedding began complaining about extreme lagging and loss of audio. Twitter user @AshleeMayorga posted a clip of the wedding saying that "the entire ceremony portion of the livestream was completely unwatchable due to severe lagging and quality control issues" (shown below).
Regardless of whether or not the wedding was fake, Halogen SHOULD be issuing refunds to the paying viewers of last night’s livestream disaster. That day, Twitter users continued to complain. Twitter user @KendallGothard,[8] claimed that they would be getting a refund from their bank (shown below, left). Twitter user @colson_kyla[9] posted screenshots of the stream (shown below, right).
On July 29th, DramaAlert uploaded a video that gave an overview of the wedding and the furious fans who paid to stream it. KeemStar also asserted that the wedding was fake but proved no proof other than hearsay about the fight that broke out during the ceremony (shown below). The video gained over 929,600 views and 54,000 likes in a day.
Fake Marriage Rumors and Facts
On July 29th, 2019, Tana Mongeau[12] announced via a series of tweets that she wouldn't be leaving with Paul for their honeymoon due to a family emergency. Her initial tweet on the subject received over 50,200 likes and 900 retweets in four days (shown below, left). That same day, Twitter users voiced their confusion. Twitter user @I_Me_Mine_J,[13] tweeted, "Why wouldn’t your new husband stay back and help you deal with this emergency rather than jet off to London with his brother? You two could have definitely Waited and gone together when everything was good. Another example that I think this is all fake" (shown below, right).
On July 29th, 2019, the YouTube show MTV No Filter: Tana Turns 21 aired episode 4 "The Truth About Tana & Jake’s Marriage" (shown below). The video gained over 1.8 million views ad 56,000 likes in four days. The video follows Mongeau and Paul on their marriage plans. Both Paul and Mongeau discussed how "real" or not they want the wedding to be.
On July 31st, after the episode aired, Mongeau[10] posted a series of tweets attempting to explain that she really loves Jake and that "the 'for fun and content' sound bite was from a very long sentence lmao and was a little salty to see it pulled out of context" (shown below). On August 1st, ET online[11] reported "that there is no marriage license or certificate listed under either of their names in Nevada, and in addition, their officiant, Arman Izadi, is not registered with Clark County, which he would have to be in order to legally marry the couple."
