On November 9th, 2008, letsemgo posted the photo to Flickr (shown below).^[1] The photo gained 13,513 views 260 faves and 170 comments in a decade.

Spread

On February 9th, 2011, Redditor Zeb1 posted the image to the r/pics^[6] subreddit and then sent it to /r/adviceanimals. Redditor SnailBoy posted an edit in the comments "knock over trash bin, find nothing of interest" (shown below).

In 2012, the raccoon image was made available on imgflip^[2] and quickmeme ^[3] among other meme generator platforms.
