Freeza! Por Que Você Matou O Kuririn? (English: Freeza! Why Did You Kill Krillin?) refers to a viral video of TikTok influencer Júnior Caldeirão performing a humorous parody of Goku from Dragon Ball. The video started to go viral in late 2021 and reached its highest peak in early 2022 on TikTok and YouTube, appearing various animations and songs.

Origin

In July of 2021, @juniorcaldeiraoo uploaded the original video to his TikTok channel, which was later deleted.[1] On October 1st, 2021 YouTube user Wigvan Miranda reuploaded the video, receiving 2.6 million views and 91,000 likes in 5 months (shown below)[3]


Spread

On December 7th, 2021, @postando_shitpost reuploaded the video to TikTok, receiving 4,300,000 views and 536,000 likes in 3 months (shown below.)[2]

In early 2022, the video began inspiring parodies and fan creations. For example, on January 6th, 2022, YouTube user Sir Wise uploaded an animation of the video, receiving 1.3 million views and 76,000 likes in 2 months (shown below, left).[4] On February 19th, 2022, YouTuber DJ JUNIOR SALES created a techno funk song using the video's audio, receiving 2.9 million views and 70,000 likes in 1 month(shown below, right).[5]



On April 12th, 2022, juniorcaldeiraoo appeared in a music video based off the meme he inspired. The video was uploaded by Love Funk and gained over 443,000 views in ten days (shown below).
