Get This Shit Off Me! or Get This Beta Shit Off Me! refers to an exploitable meme series, including image macros and video edits, based on a viral video of streamer Tyler1 tearing his shirt off and screaming, "Get this beta shit off me!" The clip went viral in 2016 and became the subject of memes over the following years, including video edits that change Tyler into character from a given fandom.
Origin
On October 27th, 2016, YouTuber[1] Black uploaded a clip form one of Tyler1's streams on an unknown day where he screams, "Get this shit off me!" then tears his shirt off, continuing, "Get this beta shit off me!" The clip gained over 1.7 million views in seven years (shown below).
The earliest known meme to reference the video is an image macro posted to /r/dankmemes[2] by u/xFreeMa on May 16th, 2019, captioned, "spider-man trying to get the venom suit off him," garnering around 20 upvotes in four years. On June 23rd, u/magicalmusketeer22 posted a companies when pride month ends meme using an image from the video to /r/dankmemes,[3] garnering over 15,700 upvotes in three years (shown below, left and right).

On November 29th, 2019, YouTubers[4][5] DungkyKong and Memes of my choice only 1 posted edits of the video, the first reversing the video and the second using the video to make reference to The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, garnering over 1.2 million views and 81,000 views respectively in four years (shown below, left and right). On December 20th, a Redditor posted an image macro using the image to /r/dankmemes[10] that garnered over 29,000 upvotes in four years.
On December 21st, Instagram[6] user taco_reco__ posted an image macro using the screenshot referencing Chinese finger traps, garnering over 14,700 likes in four years. On January 28th, 2020, YouTuber[7] Largetrap posted an edit of the viral video, garnering over 352,000 views in three years (shown below).
On January 27th, Instagram[8] user ohmydogn reposted an image macro by Redditor u/rrataclipsYT, posted to /r/dankmemes,[12] referencing Coronavirus, garnering over 4,700 likes in three years (shown below). It was reposted by Facebook[9] page Hey there memes it’s me Ya Boi the next day, garnering over 6,700 shares and 2,500 reactions in three years. It was also reposted to /r/dankmemes,[11] garnering over 19,000 upvotes in three years.
