A Goon Corner is an added video layer in TikTok and Instagram memes in which a video of an attractive woman is overlayed and labeled the "Goon Corner," riffing on overstimulation videos and sludge content in which extra media is added to keep a viewer's attention. The Goon Corner is humorously designed to meet the needs of "gooners." The Goon Corner was created by Instagram user Perktunes (@perktunes) in early 2025 across a series of Reels. Other "corners" were added to the trend, like the "Feet Corner" and "Femboy Corner," among others. The Goon Corner trend spread to TikTok by mid-2025 and became common among the Clash Royale players on the platform. Some of the TikTok videos also used the Goon Corner to sneak in explicit content.

On March 27th, 2025, Instagram^{[1][2][3][4][5]} user @perktunes shared multiple videos which incorporated a so-called "Goon Corner," in which a video of an attractive woman was shown, meant to keep the attention of gooners. The most viral video he shared on that day received over 43,500 likes (reupload shown below). Below where it said, "(Goon Corner)," the phrase, "(This is a safe space)," was also written.

Spread

The Goon Corner videos from @perktunes evolved over the next few weeks. For instance, on March 31st, 2025, he shared a video on Instagram^[6] that incorporated a "motivational corner," a "soap bar corner" and a "femboy corner," gaining over 58,700 likes in three months (shown below).

On June 24th, 2025, TikToker^[7] @zuglip posted a Clash Royale clip with a Goon Corner in the top right, gaining over 59,900 likes in eight days (shown below).

More Goon Corner videos emerged on TikTok^[8] in the following days.

On June 29th, TikToker^[9] @pelzcr posted a video in which he asked, "Who started the goon corner!?" He referenced Clash Royale clips he'd seen on TikTok, which used Goon Corners. Over three days, his video gained over 125,800 likes (shown below).
