Grotesque IShowSpeed Face Edits refers to a series of AI-edited images of streamer IShowSpeed's face in the IShowSpeed Smiling Trying Not to Laugh meme, in which his pursed lips and closed eyes expression were increasingly edited into unrecognizable and grotesque caricatures, characterized by excessive wrinkles and absurd features. Commonly used as reaction images on TikTok and Twitter / X, the Grotesque IShowSpeed Face Edits started surfacing in late 2025, whereby, in November 2025, some of them became so unrecognizable that they did not resemble a human face and instead looked like a valley or canyon, defined solely by wrinkles.

Origin

In October 2025, an AI-edited image of IShowSpeed Trying Not to Laugh, from the My Mom is Kinda Homeless clip, surfaced online, in which Speed's pursed, squished facial expression was elevated to a hyperbolic degree, giving him more wrinkles. It's currently unknown where the image came from, as it seemingly came from TikTok comment sections as a reaction image.

Currently, the earliest known posting of the image was shared on October 15th, 2025, by Redditor TrainerObjective145 in a comment on the /r/BlueRyai^[1] subreddit.

Spread

On October 16th, 2025, X^[3] user @imakecooltrains posted the abovementioned image in a quote-tweet, receiving over 350 likes in a month.

On October 17th, TikToker^[2] @sssleepy_dude shared a compilation of IShowSpeed edits, leading with the abovementioned image. Over one month, the video received over 390 likes.

Heading into November 2025, increasingly wrinkled and grotesque versions of Speed's face surfaced in TikTok comment sections, such as for TikToks^[4] related to the Jayden's Bus is Here meme.

On November 15th, 2025, X^[5] user @pwn6k_ tweeted four Grotesque IShowSpeed images in a reply, gaining over 1 million views and 960 likes in three days.

The tweet was then quote-tweeted by X^[6] user @x8lFx on November 16th, who wrote, "I am convinced this shit is a fetish because genuinely what the fuck are we doing," gaining over 59,000 likes in two days.

Also on November 15th, 2025, X^[7] user @Chillagery tweeted an unrecognizable edit of the IShowSpeed Trying Not to Laugh image, captioned, "Taxi driver thought I had an American accent." Over three days, the tweet gained over 10.4 million views and 7,300 likes.

On November 16th, X^[8] user @EyeLoveMariahsm used a similarly unrecognizable IShowSpeed Trying Not to Laugh image in an image caption post, reading, "Mom asked me when I’m getting a job." Over two days, the tweet received over 6,100 likes.
