Guess I'm Oogly Goo refers to a scene from Smiling Friends in which Mr. Boss says, "Yep, guess I'm oogly goo," then starts convulsing, grunting and acting strangely, causing everyone else in the room to panic. The scene comes from the season two premiere and became the subject of memes in April 2024, most notably as a lip dub and animation audio on TikTok.

Origin

On April 1st, 2024, Smiling Friends season two premiered on Adult Swim. At the start of the episode, Pim tells Charlie that he's concerned about Mr. Boss after he cornered Pim in the office one day, started speaking gibberish and screaming. At the end of the episode, Mr. Boss enters the office and announces he was gone for a week to do motion capture recording for a video game. Pim says, "Oh that's where you were, we thought you went crazy." Mr. Boss responds, "Yep, guess I'm oogly goo," then starts grabbing his head, grunting and erratically moving around the office as if unable to control himself, causing everyone else to panic (shown below).

That day, TikToker^[1] @zachthegoober2023 posted the scene with the additional caption, "The boss be tweaking," garnering over 2.1 million views in just under two weeks (shown below).

The original sound for @zachthegoober's video was used over 600 times in the next two weeks, largely as the source of lip dubs and as an animation audio. On April 7th, 2024, TikToker^[2] @the_bronk_zoo posted a video in which she reenacts the scene, garnering over 700,000 views in five days (shown below, left). On April 11th, TikToker^[3] @nirami1 posted an animation set to the audio, garnering over 1.5 million views in a day (shown below, right).

That day, YouTuber^[4] Nizaritoo posted a Minecraft meme using a green screen of Mr. Boss freaking out, garnering over 20,000 views in a day (shown below).
