Gunner, What's Your Opinion On Minnesota refers to a viral video showing someone asking an overweight, bespectacled boy named Gunner about his opinion on Minnesota. Gunner replies, "I don't care about your question," and smiles and points while saying, "Go away." Gunner then looks up and opens his mouth, letting out a loud scream. The video gathered several million views on TikTok in late 2022 before it was removed by the original uploader @wzrdybutcooler. It continued to spread online via reposts in the following years, later becoming part of the 99.99% Accuracy Meme Reenactments trend in early 2025.
Origin
The original TikTok showing a boy named Gunner being asked, "What's your opinion on Minnesota" was posted by TikToker[1] @wzrdybutcooler (later changed to @dnmrbutcooler) before September 15th, 2022. The video gathered over 1 million views before it was deleted by the poster.
In the video, Gunner is shown squinting his eyes in response and saying, "I don't really care," to which @wzrdybutcooler asked, "You don't care about Minnesota?" Gunner replies, "I don't care about your question," and begins to smile. Gunner then points to his left and says, "Go away" and smiles wider, before looking up and letting out a loud scream.
A September 15th, 2022, post by TikToker[2] @dryboogers shows a person dueting the original post, while a September 16th post by @dnmrbutcooler[3] shows the original uploader talking about why he took down the video after his schoolmates began harassing Gunner.
A September 28th, 2022, YouTube[4] reupload of the clip gathered over 40,00 views in three years.
