About

Hey Young People / Bonerrr Bonerrr, continued Leave the Kids Alone! and I'm Being Genocided! refers to an anti-LGBTQ+ webcomic created by cartoonist Tatsuya Ishida for the Sinfest series. The four-panel comic shows a queer person with blue hair juggling dildos at a children's pool party. The person also has pierced nipples and a pink Speedo with an obvious bulge. In the panels, they say, "Hey young people, bonerrr, bonerrr," making a mom shout, "Leave the kids alone!" The performer responds, "I'm being genocided!" The comic riffed on the right-wing talking point about transgender or gay people being harmful to children, expressed in backlash to events like Drag the Kids to Pride. The original comic was shared by Ishida on Twitter / X in 2023. At first, it gained earnest reposts from conservative pundits on social media. Heading into the mid-2020s, it gained ironic exploitable status from meme creators who disagreed with and mocked its anti-LGBTQ+ messaging.

Reminder that this guy was a hardcore TERF back in like 2014-2015, to the point where people even parodied him by editing his comics to replace the language to make them sound anti-Semitic. And then he actually turned out to be anti-Semitic.
