About
Hi Baby I Invite You to Watch X, Bring a Condom and a Gun refers to an exploitable meme format in which one person invites another to watch certain something together, usually a sports or esports event, and asks them to bring over a condom and a gun with the intention of having sex if the team they support wins and asking to be killed if they lose. The format first gained virality on X / Twitter in September 2024, being primarily used by fans of football or soccer and other sports.
Origin
On September 20th, 2024, X[1] / Twitter user @DiegoPibe86 posted a Me and Who meme in which they invited a person to watch an upcoming football match between Italian clubs Juventus Turin and Napoli and asked them to bring a condom and a gun with them.
The meme indicated that the condom would be used if Napoli won, and the gun would be used to shoot @DiegoPibe86 if Juventus Turin won. The post (shown below) received over 150 reposts and 1,300 likes in six months and is the earliest found meme using the format, although an earlier version is likely to exist. The match ended in a draw.[2]

Spread
Later on September 20th, 2024, X[3] user @RainSoldier posted the earliest found derivative meme based on the format, a Formula One meme that received over a million views, 3,500 reposts and 31,000 likes in six months (shown below).

In late 2024, the format spread on X and Reddit, where users shared versions about various sports and esports events.
For example, on October 8th, 2024, Redditor HuTaosimp00 posted a meme about the 2024 League of Legends World Championship that gained over 1,600 upvotes in the /r/LeagueOfMemes[4] subreddit in five months (shown below).

Besides sports and esports events, the format has also been used for anticipated episodes of various shows and speculated plot developments.
For example, on March 20th, 2025, X[5] user @defneorsomethin used the format for a meme about the sci-fi drama series Severance that gained over 1,300 reposts and 16,000 likes in one day (shown below).
