About

I Edge to You as well as I Edge to Your Videos are spam comments prevalent on TikTok that use the slang term "edge" (also known as "edging"). The definition of "edge" is to stop one's self at the moment of ejaculation or orgasm to prevent themselves from reaching climax. The term is used similarly to "gooning." In 2023, many TikTokers started writing the catchphrases in comment sections, humorously making the video's creator uncomfortable akin to the I Know It's Pink trend and Grip Reaper. The trend culminated in the Vivek I Edge to You comments left under 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's TikTok videos.

Origin

Currently, the first known evidence of "I edge to you" comments was a video posted by TikToker[1] @notnolanisoverweight on July 25th, 2023, in which he reacted to a comment that read "I edge to your videos" by using a Nick Eh 30 sound in which he said, "Keep the chat related to Fortnite." Over three months, the video received roughly 543,000 plays and 94,000 likes (shown below).

Spread

In the months that followed, TikTokers continued to upload videos in which they responded to "I edge to you" comments, such as TikToker[2] @flibbier on August 15th, 2023, who referenced the Nick Eh 30 sound, gaining roughly 526,300 plays and 77,400 likes in two months (shown below, left). On September 25th, TikToker[3] @bunn13jpg posted a video in which she lip dubbed a sound that said "Are you trolling?" receiving roughly 147,000 plays and 21,700 likes in one month (shown below, right).

Vivek I Edge to You

Vivek I Edge to You is a catchphrase that internet users spammed in the comment section of Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's TikTok videos. Telling Ramaswamy "I edge to you" was ironic, employed as a tactic to flood and annoy Ramaswamy on his videos.
