I Used To Have This Plushie That I Used To Pour Milk On And Suck The Milk Back Out is a copypasta and phrasal template meme regaling a story about pouring milk on a pillow or stuffed animal and sucking the milk back out, then slamming the sopping wet plush against walls to hear the loud thudding noise. The story was first posted to Twitter in February 2021 about a Webkinz doll and became a copypasta over the following months. Meme creators then used the snowclone "I Used To Have This X That I Used To Pour Milk On" by replacing the "plushie" in the original with various items in a similar manner.

Origin

On February 23rd, 2021, now-private Twitter^[1] user @frindle_babbin posted an image of a Webkinz cat plush, writing:

I used to have this webkinz that I used to pour milk on and suck the milk back out of and it was sopping wet all the time 😭i used to slam it against walls and it would make a loud thud

The tweet gained at least 1,000 likes before the account was privatized (shown below). The OP followed the post with two comments elaborating on the story, revealing how his mother threw it away and how he brought it to school one day and made his friends hold it, which made them "upset." The post was reposted to /r/KidsAreFuckingStupid^[2] on February 25th, garnering over 670 upvotes in roughly a year.

Spread

The phrase began to spread as a copypasta and phrasal template over the following months, with some users replacing the Webkinz with another doll, pillow or plush. On March 2nd, 2021, Twitter^[3] user @juicyxlementine posted the copypasta with an image of another Webkinz doll, garnering over 3,600 likes in a year. On March 28th, Twitter^[4] user @abjortia posted a version of the meme about a Hannah Montana boot pillow, garnering over 65,000 likes and 5,500 retweets in a year (shown below). On August 19th, it was reposted by Instagram^[5] user quadrant, gaining over 7,000 likes in a year.

On February 25th, 2022, Instagram^[6] user biggesthomieseason posted a tweet originally by Twitter^[7] user @stumpgay about a Dream plush, garnering over 2,100 likes in nine months. In late October of that year, numerous Twitter users began spamming versions of the copypasta to Twitter (examples shown below).
