Imagine Being in a Room With Everyone You've Had Sex With is a copypasta which people respond to humorously with images or comments referring to the few or strange character of their sexual partners.

Origin

In March of 2013, Tumblr user a-sorta-fairytale posted the original text. Though the original account has been deleted, it was reblogged on March 13th, 2013 by user heysammy with the comment "#empty chairs at empty tables," referring to a song from the musical Les Miserables.^[1]

Spread

The post has gained over 1.7 million notes in five years, due in large part to subsequent reblogs. User blainedarling added "imagine being stuck in a room surrounded by everyone you’ve ever thought about having sex with," to which user bannerinthevalley added the comment "Imagine your cousin sitting there wondering what he has in common with these people" (entire post shown below).^[2]

On July 28th, 2017, Facebook account 8shit^[3] posted an image macro with the text and a picture of a lone hand in a room, gaining 7,500 likes and reactions.

Meanwhile, Twitter users began posting the phrase, leading to parodies where people paired a tweet of the phrase with joking images. On July 30th, 2017, Facebook page Wondrous Word Bearer Memes^[4] posted such an image that gained 81 likes and reactions (shown below, left). On July 27th, 2017, a joke was posted to Reddit featuring Will from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, gaining 260 upvotes (shown below, right).
