About

Invincible War OCs, also known as Invincible War Variants, refers to a fan art trend inspired by the Invincible War event in the universe of the comic book series Invincible and its TV adaptation, the latter of which included the event in early March 2025. The trend involves artists drawing humorous versions of the main character Invincible (Mark Grayson) from alternate realities.

Origin

On March 6th, 2025, episode seven "What Have I Done?" of the third season of the American animated superhero series Invincible premiered[1] on Amazon Prime Video. The episode adapts the Invincible War storyline from the Invincible comics, an event during which Invincible and allied characters face versions of Invincible from alternate realities (clip shown below).[2]

Alternate versions of Invincible were also teased in the previous episode of the show, which premiered on February 27th, 2025.



On March 5th, 2025, X[3] user @gatotension posted a drawing of Invincible in a red superhero suit next to the YouTube logo, commenting, "this is my Invincible war oc his name is youtube invincible." The post (shown below) garnered over 35.4 million views, 8,500 reposts and 68,000 likes in five days.

On March 6th, 2025, X[4] user @soiboi15 posted a crossover fan art of the Powerpuff Girls as variants of Invincible, commenting, "my new Invincible war ocs, their names are the powerpuff invincibles." The post (shown below) received over 4,200 reposts and 52,000 likes in four days.

Later that day, X[5] user @Devovas posted a WhatsApp version of the character that received over 1,100 reposts and 12,000 likes in four days.

The trend continued on X / Twitter and Bluesky through early March 2025, with users posting humorous fan art of Invincible variants from alternate universes.
