Omni-Man "Are You Sure?" or Invincible "Are You Sure" Edits, also known as Are You Sure Omni-Man Meme, refers to memes and jokes about a scene from the American animated television show Invincible in which the character Nolan (voiced by actor J. K. Simmons), or Omni-Man, asks his son, "Are you sure?" in response to Mark (Steven Yeun) saying that he finally got his superpowers. The scene from the first season of the show came to be used in YTP style brainrot edits on TikTok in March 2025, around the time the third season of the show came to a close. The memes typically edit the dinner table conversation where Omni-Man asks, "Are you sure?" and inserts the clips to humorous effect into other scenes from the series.

Origin

The pilot episode of the animated television show Invincible, released on March 26th, 2021, follows the show's teenage lead Mark Grayson (Invincible) getting his superpowers, given to him by his father Omni-Man. Mark tells his parents about the news over dinner, but his father says, "Are you sure?" instead of immediately being excited for Mark.

A clip of the scene was reposted to YouTube^[1] by Anime Moments on May 26th, 2021, gathering over 200,000 views in four years.

On May 7th, 2021, YouTuber^[7] Numberer1 posted a YTP video titled "Vince," where, at the 1:33 timestamp, Mark is shown to be eating dinner with his mother and his father, Omni-Man. Mark says, "I had a pretty interesting day," and Nolan replies, "Are you sure?" set to an eerie ambient score. The video gathered over 62,000 likes in four years.

A low-quality version of the aforementioned clip was reposted to TikTok^[2] by user @mbvlayne on March 9th, 2025, who gathered over 1.2 million plays and 280,000 likes in a week.

On March 17th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @realomniman8 posted an edit with the video dimmed down, gathering over 130,000 plays, 15,000 likes, and numerous comments that read, "Did they not pay the electric bill."

On March 18th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @sailordogs posted a version of the meme with a low-resolution, pixelated version of the meme with ominous music looped over it. The video gathered over 800,000 views and 120,000 likes in three days.

Also on March 18th, TikToker^[5] @invincihdih posted a deep-fried version of the meme, gathering over 900,000 plays and 200,000 likes in three days.

On March 20th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @sk_ttle posted a clip of the Think, Mark scene, showing Omni-Man asking, "What will you have after 500 years?" and Mark replying, "You dad, I'll have you." The video then clips to Omni-Man asking, "Are you sure?" The video gathered over 500,000 plays and 100,000 likes in a day.
