"What's 17 more years?" is a catchphrase and reaction video from the animated show Invincible. The meme shows Omni-man beating up his son Invincible against a rock, saying, "You wanna die for this planet? Fine! What's 17 more years? I can always start again, make another kid." The clip of Omni-man punching Invincible is sometimes used as a reaction meme online. The scene also gave rise to the Think, Mark meme.

Origin

The season finale of the first season of the animated show Invincible premiered on April 30th, 2021. The episode begins with Omni-man and Invincible fighting, where Omni-man clearly overpowers his son. The fight features a scene where Omni-man can be seen punching Invincible, who has his back against a rock. At one point, Omni-man says, "You wanna die for this planet? Fine! What's 17 more years? I can always start again, make another kid."

On May 18th, 2021, Redditor[2] /u/Speeda2 posted a image macro meme using the scene where Omniman says "What's 17 more years," joking about a HollowKnight being unconfirmed for E3. The post gathered over 7,000 upvotes in three years (seen below, left). On May 28th, Redditor[3] /u/et27 posted a meme to /r/pokemon using the template, gathering over 33,000 upvotes in three years (seen below, right).
