About
Ironic Hawk Tuah Memes refer to jokes and ironic memes that parody memes about the Hawk Tuah Girl, often in the form of crossovers with other well-known memes like Big Chungus. The Hawk Tuah meme is sometimes seen as divisive, with some internet users relegating it to the more normie or Zynternet spheres of the web, as well as being oversaturated. Ironic Hawk Tuah memes are typically made by internet users who do not find the original video or its meme progression to be funny, with crossover memes often taking the form of puns using the words "hawk" or "tuah."
Origin
The Hawk Tuah Girl first went viral in early June 2024, after Haliey Welch was interviewed by YouTubers Tim & Dee TV in a video posted to their account's Instagram Reels.[1] In the clip, they asked the blonde girl, "What's one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?" to which she responded in a Southern accent, "Oh, you gotta give him that hawk tuah and spit on that thang," Over six days, the video received roughly 8.9 million plays and 238,900 likes, quickly becoming a widespread meme in the following weeks (shown below).
