About

Jump Out The Benz AHHHHHH is a line from the 2021 song "On Papers" by rapper MoneyMac, featuring Rio Da Yung OG. Since the track's release, the lyric has been used to denote when someone is in the middle of a usual task or activity, then sees something that instantly causes them to be alarmed, before shrugging it off as nothing. The audio format went viral on TikTok following two different trends using it, each roughly a year apart.

Origin

On April 2nd, 2021, rap artist MoneyMac in collaboration with Rio Da Yung OG released the song "On Papers" to their official YouTube channel.[1] The part taken for use in memes comes from 20 seconds into the song, with some memes extending the audio all the way through the verse ending on the 30-second mark. The video itself received over 500,000 views in 16 months (shown below).

Spread

Early adoption of the catchphrase started with accounts using it as part of a one-two punchline that subverted the expectations of the viewer. An example of this was posted to TikTok on June 7th, 2021, by the account matts_alright,[2] showing them dressed as a soldier screaming about driving over IEDs before showing that it's just a flashback to them being "alright" in a car, gaining over 656,000 likes in 16 months (shown below).

A full year later, the meme then became primarily used in a trend where someone presents a situation that appears to be bad at first, with a person about to physically react to the situation, before it is quickly explained or resolved and the person brushes off their surprise as nothing. This is particularly seen in the TikTok on September 2nd, 2022, by the account rhalesgoiu[3] in which, acting as a PE teacher, they were about to yell at a student who was about to kick a basketball, only to show them putting the basketball back on the rack, prompting the gym teacher to shrug it off, earning over 2.2 million views in two months (shown below).
