About

Lazy Girl Jobs, also known as the Lazy Girl Job Trend, is an internet slang term that refers to office or work-from-home jobs that often involve little physical activity and social interaction, lax deadlines, no uniform and flexible work hours. The term became popularized on TikTok in mid-2023 around the same time other "girl" TikTok trends and phrases became popular, including girl dinner and "girl math."

On May 22nd, 2023, TikToker[1] @gabrielle_judge posted a video where she defines the idea of "lazy girl jobs," saying it's basically a job that you can quiet quit. She goes on to say most lazy girl jobs are remote and "non-technical tech roles," such as marketing associate, account manager and customer success manager. She also describes the jobs as "safe" with flexible hours and says they often pay between $60,000 to $80,000 per year. She then says that she believes "women are not meant to live paycheck to paycheck." She then advertises her "Lazy girl job program," a program she sells on Gumroad.[2]

@gabrielle_judge Career advice for women who don’t know what remote job to apply to. You can bay your bills at not feel tired at the end of the day. Women are here to collect those pay checks and move on from the work day. We have so much more fun stuff happeneing in our 5-9 that is way more important than a boss that you hate. #corporatejobs #jobsearchhacks #remoteworking #antihustleculture #9to5 ♬ original sound – Gabrielle👸🏻
