Pretty sure Jet Bean is meant to be Chinese, not Japanese.

The character is based off of Jet Li, and the Cop makes fun of him by saying he's delivering Chow Mein. Jet Bean is seen eating at a Chinese restaurant during his first appearance in the movie.
