About

Lovander is a Pal from the 2024 video game Palworld depicted as a pink, bipedal, lizard-like creature. Lovander is entry number 69 on the Paldex and is described as "seeking a night of love," writing that, "at first it only showed interest in other Pals, but in recent years humans have become the target of its debauchery." The Pal went viral online following the game's early access release, inspiring memes and fan art, including rule 34, on social media.

Origin

On January 19th, 2024, the early access version of Palworld was released on Steam and Xbox. One of the game's catchable creatures, known as Pals, is Lovander, a tall, pink, bipedal, lizard-like creature with heart-shaped fur covering its chest. Lovander is entry number 69 in the game's "Paldex" and is described: "Seeking a night of love, it is always chasing someone around. At first, it only showed interest in other Pals, but in recent years even humans have become the target of its debauchery."

Lovander was first showcased on the Pocketpair YouTube[1] channel on December 29th, 2023, before the game's release, when it was entry 49 rather than 69, in a video that garnered over 113,000 views in a month (shown below).

Also a small thing about game mechanics.

In palworld, you can build a Breeding Center. You place 2 gendered pals into it by picking them up and placing them in the work zone.
From there, you need to put Cake into the chest that comes with the building. The cake is what makes the breeding begin.

Lovander has a chance to drop Cake when caught or killed.

Also humans in the game have no gender, and also cannot be picked up to be placed in the breeding center so bestiality is literally not possible in the game.
