Mady Gio / shinratensei_98 Breast Envy Redraws, sometimes referred to as "Mother and Daughter redraws," refers to redraws based on a 2022 photograph of two influencers in bikinis, in which one of the two women has significantly larger breasts than the other. The redraw trend typically depicts the woman on the left with breast envy. It grew popular on Twitter in 2024.

Origin

On August 9th, 2022, adult content influencer Mady Gio posted to her Twitter account^[1] a photo of her and fellow influencer shinratensei_98 wearing bikinis and standing on a boat near the shores of Apulia (Italy).

Spread

Beginning in early 2024, the photo inspired a redraw trend among Twitter artists to draw two female characters similarly, often with a mother in place of Mady Gio and her corresponding daughter in place of shiratensei. One early example was posted April 16th, 2024 by Twitter user @RocnerArt,^[2] showing the characters Cerez and Gothel. The tweet gained over 1,000 retweets and 11,000 likes in three months (shown below, left).

In other variations, the character on the left is typically showing jealousy towards the breast size of the character on the right. For example, on April 20th, Twitter user @karbuitt^[3] posted an example using characters from Persona 5, gaining over 650 retweets and 5,000 likes in a similar time frame (shown below, right).
