Mankind Is Dead. Blood Is Fuel. Hell Is Full. is the slogan of the 2020 retro FPS video game ULTRAKILL. Since its appearance in promotional materials for the game during the early 2020s, the slogan has inspired various memes and fan art in which it has been used as a phrasal template and catchphrase.

Origin

On June 13th, 2020, the reveal trailer for the 2020 retro FPS video game ULTRAKILL premiered on YouTube.^[1] The trailer introduced the slogan for the game: "Mankind is dead. Blood is fuel. Hell is full." (shown below).

The slogan has appeared in various promotional materials^[2] for the game and on _ULTRAKILL_'s Steam store page (shown below).^[3]

On December 11th, 2022, Tumblr^[4] user wjbs-aus posted the earliest meme based on the slogan, adding the name of the indie puzzle game Baba Is You as the last line. Later on December 12th, Tumblr^[5] user parchmenengineer posted a version of the meme parodying Baba Is You gameplay elements. The posts (shown below, left and right) received over 26,000 reblogs and likes in two years.

The slogan achieved further popularity as a phrasal template in 2023 as it was used as a caption for crossover fan art. For example, on February 27th, 2023, X^[6] / Twitter user @Daund3r posted a Pizza Tower / Doom crossover fan art captioned with a version of the slogan that received over 1,800 reposts and 8,600 likes in one year (shown below, left).

On May 11th, X^[7] user @Rouughnix posted a Hollow Knight / ULTRAKILL crossover fan art with a version of the slogan that referenced the former game. The post (shown below, right) received over 1,300 reposts and 8,100 likes in one year.

The slogan maintained a presence online as a phrasal template through 2023 and 2024.
